The QR code won't scan, or you land on a sign-in page

Two different symptoms share one fix. If your phone's camera will not read the code, or you scan it and land on a sign-in screen instead of the setup page, open app.scrd.au yourself and use the scanner built into SCRD. It sits on the sign-in screen, so it is there whenever you are signed out.

Use the scanner inside SCRD

1. Open app.scrd.au in your phone's browser.
2. On the sign-in screen that opens, tap Scan court QR code.
3. Point the camera at the court QR code again. If it still will not start, or the browser does not support it, paste the court link into the Scanned court link box and tap Use court instead.

Why you might land on a sign-in page

SCRD only opens the setup screen when the page you open carries both the club and the court. Typing app.scrd.au from memory, or opening an old link that dropped those details, carries neither, so SCRD shows the sign-in screen instead. That is not an error: it is the screen with the scanner described above.
