Choose the scoring format: Rally scoring, Hand-in-hand-out or Total of

Match settings, the second step of setup, is where you choose how the match is scored. SCRD remembers the format on this phone for this court, so most nights there is nothing to change.

• Rally scoring: every rally scores a point. Set Points to win (11 or 15 are usual) and Best of (3 or 5 are usual, 1 and 7 are there too). Win by 2 points? is on by default. This is the default format.
• Hand-in-hand-out: traditional 9 point scoring where only the server can score. Set Best of only; the game itself runs to 9, with a Short or Long choice at 8-8.
• Total of: rally scoring over a fixed number of games, every one played even once the result looks settled. Set First to (points per game), Win by 2 points?, Total of (how many games to play) and Decided by. Decided by is what settles the match: Most points adds up every point across all the games, Most games counts the games each player won. Most points is the default, and the card under the format name tells you which is set.
